***TSHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH***

*The image of crackling static appears on-screen before transitioning to a grandfather clock, sitting in relative darkness. The clock, lit from the front by the camera, shines.*

*The clock makes a loud TICK-TOCK sound every second.*

???: Tick, tock...tick, tock...

*Out from off-camera left walks Syndicate, the World Heavyweight Champion. He is wearing his blood-red leather jacket, gray undershirt, black denim jeans, and black Nike sneakers. Over his left shoulder, he holds the World Championship, which glows in the frontlight. Standing in front of the clock and looking at the camera, Syndicate smiles.*

Syndicate: You hear that? That sound of time passing before our very eyes? I can. I've been hearing that for years now.

***TICK-TOCK***

Syndicate: Bob Mellon, on the other hand, didn't. He lived in the past, banking on his previous experience to help him defeat the legend of today. He failed. Bob Mellon ran out of time.

***TICK-TOCK***

Syndicate: Tommy Lipton, Rayne, Kurtis Ray...their time is running out as well. Tommy Lipton is a man built by his legendary status. He was unstoppable. He was a machine. And when he came back after his hiatus, he came back to reclaim his former throne. But I, Syndicate, stopped that. I halted his ascent, I made sure he had to start back at square one. I did that. And now...I get to do it again. I get the chance to shove Tommy |BLEEP|ing Lipton back down to earth by showing him that he doesn't belong up in the stars anymore.

***TICK-TOCK***

Syndicate: Kurtis Ray had his time last year. Like Tommy, he was on the top of the world. World Champion, looking to make a real impact in the history books. But then, I saw to it that he faltered - no, Kurtis Ray fell, deep into the depths of misery and depression. But he has risen once again to face off against his eternal nemesis: the Los Angeles Outlaw. This week on Ravage, history will repeat itself, and Kurtis Ray will fall once again.

***TICK-TOCK***

Syndicate: This is Rayne's first ascent to the top of the mountain. He's brushed against true success before, sure, but never like this. Never to this level. But, unfortunately for him, it won't be the climb that's remembered. Rather, it will be the descent from greatness that'll be stuck in everyone's memory.

***TICK-TOCK***

*The champion chuckles.*

Syndicate: It's like clockwork, gentlemen. Every day, I face a new challenge in this comapny, and every day, that challenge eventually falls, lost in time for all of eternity. Challengers come and go, but the one constant in the WWX for the past four-and-a-half years has been that of Sydney Maxwell Irvine's continued excellence. That constant isn't going away, because - say it with me, now - nothing ever changes in the WWX. But that's besides the point.

***TICK-TOCK***

Syndicate: This Saturday, in one singular moment, six of the greatest wrestlers alive today will meet face-to-face. In that one moment, strengths will be tested. Weaknesses will be exposed. Most of all, we will truly see who deserves to stand alone at the top of the mountain. Nothing is on the line except for pride...and I wouldn't have it any other way. But for that one moment, in that ring...time will stand still.

*The room goes silent as the clock freezes.*

Syndicate: But after that moment passes...we must look to the future. My future, unfortunately, does not immediately feature Rex or Tommy - they will go on their own path of destiny. I, meanwhile, will face Kurtis, Rayne, and Darkness at Holiday Hell, and in that way, this match on Ravage is a glimpse into that future. A future where the four best wrestlers in this business collide for the World Heavyweight Championship. A future...where the present remains the same and where the game doesn't change. The future I preach is one of stability and growth. One where, as part of the Age of Syndicate, the WWX and its World Championship reaches unprecedented heights. This is the future I want, and this is the future I will protect with my life.

*Syndicate smiles.*

Syndicate: But enough of the future. Let's get back to what really matters: right now.

*The clock starts back up again.*

***TICK-TOCK***

Syndicate: This elimination match, it may not have anything on the line, but it is vital to the state of my Age. The team of Syndicate, Darkness, and McAllister might go down in history as the most acclaimed trio ever to come together. I'm afraid that the other three in this match just can't compete. And, more importantly, considering Holiday Hell is just a few weeks away, I'm afraid that our World Champion is a wee bit pissed off at his opponents for that event. In fact, I'm pretty sure the Los Angeles Outlaw would like nothing more than to give Kurtis Ray and Rayne a late Christmas present in the form of a hospital visit; after all, there's no better way to walk into a pay-per-view main event than with a cast.

***TICK-TOCK***

Syndicate: It's like clockwork, gentlemen. People like you try to get on my level, and one by one, I push them back down. You three will be no exception. Welcome...to the Syndicate.

*Chuckling, Syndicate walks off-camera. After a few more seconds of tick-tocking, the feed is interrupted by static.*
