OFFICIAL GUIDE
This is the official guide. It's quite long and is intended mostly as reference. Better use the links below to navigate and click "Back Up" to come back here when you are done reading a section.

You can skip it and only read the rules and quick start. Or just join and read later... But as an early warning, you have to come back and read the rules section. Failure to abide by some rules will result in losses in matches even if you have participated well.

WWX, unlike other efeds, is an unorthodox efed. We are not dull and boring. We have superstar pics, our own almost real looking titlebelts (look at them), brand logos. Our administration is a lot different, you have to play it to experience it. We do not use message boards. We run using emailing-lists powered by Yahoo Groups. If you are familiar with message boards, you may think that emails would not be as good, but those who have been in the fed for a long time claim that being an email fed is what makes WWX fun. A lot of message-board feds die early.

We are a roleplay based efed, but not 100%.

Definitions
Directors - The people who have power, like the WWX owner(me), CEO, commissioners...

Handler - A member of thw WWX who handles his/her superstars and characters

Superstar - A character (fictional, usually a wrestler) in the WWX.

Application - The form you fill in for each wrestler when you sign up here. This form can be found in the JOIN section of the website.

Contracted Wrestler - A character (wrestler) whose main aim is to compete and grab the titles.

Unregistered Superstar - A character you create for fun to accompany your wrestler(s), like managers... etc

Roleplay/Flash - The text you type when you play in this fed. A flash is the part when a superstar appears in a scene usually backstage, in the ring or somewhere else to give a speech, just like seen on TV. Normal Roleplays are sent to the mailing list.

Strategy (Strat) - A strategy on what you want your wrestlers/characters to do on a card. It may be a strategy on how you want your wrestler to fight (or cheat) in the match or what he/she will do before/after the match. This includes attacking other superstars or interfering in matches. Plans are sent to the commissioner of the show via email.

Card - A TV show with lineups. For the WWE, Raw and Smackdown are their cards. For the WWX, we have Fury and Ravage and some new cards may pop up too.

Lineup - Match bookings for the card. Lineups will be sent to members via email.

General Rules
No absurdity in your applications. Which means you can't have a person who is 20 feet tall and weighs 99999999 pounds.

This is a fantasy e-federation so please use only created superstars. We do not want a Bill Goldberg or a Kurt Angle here.

A handler can as many superstars as they want but make sure all of them are active or they play a role. Inactives will be cut off. It is advisable to start with one or two superstars only.

Please do not use too many taboos or profanity in your roleplays and messages. For example, we have seen some roleplays with the F word in almost every paragraph and the word is used casually for no good reason. Those roleplays would have been superb without those words. If you must, please sensor the language with asterisks. (*) THIS AFFECTS WINNER DECISIONS SERIOUSLY.

We are a booked/roleplay federation but we are not a 100% roleplay federation. We also base the federation on angles, storylines, strategies and effort. So a good roleplayer would often win but not necessarily win. The best planner who roleplays well, plans his strategy and caries out his role would win.

When roleplaying, you are allowed to include other handlers' superstars with a few limitations. You are only allowed to call them out to talk trash and stuff. If you would like to beat them up or get them to do something or humiliate them, you can either:
- Send that script to a commissioner to be aired on a card or
- Send it as a flash to the mailing list with prior permission from the involved superstars' handler.

After a card is sent out, the decisions are final. No arguments. If you are not happy with the results, roleplay or ask for a rematch or just create a strategy when your superstar beats the crap out of the other, and send it to the commissioners to be aired on the card.

When you think you ought to win but you lost, well, try asking the commissioners or build a feud with the person who cost you the loss instead of wasting your efforts complaining.

There is definitely a reason behind everything. We don't make people win/lose for nothing. If a commissioner really screws up and makes terrible decisions, other commissioners and the CEO would definitely notice it and that commissioner would be dealt with.

Quick Start
To join, you just need to click join, fill in an application form and send an email to wwx_connection-subscribe@yahoogroups.com. You will receive some email regarding the details of the WWX and all the roleplays/updates in your inbox.

If you use more than one character, you can fill in the application form many times.

Your first job as a new handler is to send out an introductory roleplay from your character(s).

What you have to do as a handler is to check the website and your email... mostly your email.

As a WWX handler, you have to roleplay at least ONCE a week, although we are not strict about that. We will cut only those guys who do nothing for 3-4 weeks. Roleplay by sending your roleplay to the mailing list wwx_connection@yahoogroups.com. (After you join)

If you just joined, as a start, you can type out a flash to introduce your superstar.

If you can't think of good roleplays, you can send your plan/strategy for the card via email but strategies alone are often not enough, unless the competition is poor.

If you can't roleplay or send a plan for the week you have to tell the WWX owner or the commissioners. If you don't keep in touch for 2 weeks without a reason/reply, you will be cut off unless you are on the leave/injured list. However, you will still receive WWX mail until you unsubscribe to the mailing list. Roster cuts will be run occassionally.

Details of unsubscription can be found in every WWX email sent to you.

Roleplays and Strategies
Roleplays are normally sent to all via mailing list wwx_connection@yahoogroups.com.

There are 2 types of roleplays: TV Show (oncard) style and Informal style.

TV Show style is the kind of roleplay when the superstar is talking to the audience in the ring on a live TV Show. Roleplays of this kind:
-o- are sent to WWX directors via email and they will be aired on the TV shows.
-o- or sent to wwx_connection@yahoogroups.com as part of the WWX Xcess 24/7 show.

Informal style is the kind of roleplay held out of TV show time, at miscellaneous places. Therefore, you can send them out via mailing list.

ALL roleplays are considered to be broadcast on WWXC (the World Wrestling Xistence Connection aka wwx_connection, our fantasy TV station). Consider your audience and the censors when writing.

IMPORTANT. Please cut down foul language and profanity in your roleplays. If you must, please consider censoring... This rule very much affects the match winner decisions.

If you want to include another handler's superstar/character(s) in your roleplay (to beat them up usually), it is IMPORTANT that you get the permission of the other handler by emailing them.

However, if your roleplay is meant to be AIRED ON THE CARD, you normally don't need the permission of the other handler to include their superstar/characters. The directors and I will deal with the permissions, just send in your roleplay to the directors or me through email or website! If it gets too out of hand, the directors themselves will ask the your victim superstar's handlers permission.

Sometimes, your roleplay will be altered a little if the info inside does not tally somehow.

If you can't send any roleplay, send in a plan or give us a reason why. It is OK if we don't receive anything from you for a week. We will assume that you are busy with life and stuff but no contact for 3-4 weeks will result in you being cut

Matches
Normally, only Contract Wrestlers can grab titlebelts.

Non-wrestler superstars can be booked too but rarely win titles, but they might be some exceptions.

Winners are decided by the directors. Decisions are final.

The match outcome mostly (but not always) depends on the quality of your roleplay/flash or plan. We usually favor the person who writes better, not the person who writes more/later or the person who succeeds in winning a feud conversation. But this does not mean the person who writes more/later or the person who succeeds in winning a feud conversation cannot win. Factors like effort, storyline, angles and plans are considered too.

Strength Table (powerful to weak)
1 Good Roleplay
2 Moderate roleplay
3 Good strategy
4 Lousy Roleplay
5 Lousy strategy
6 Did not send anything.

The higher the rank in the strength table, the higher the chance for you to win the match. For example: a moderate roleplay beats a good plan.

A good roleplay is not necessarily a very long roleplay. It is a roleplay that is not too short, has some content and is fun to read. However, a very good flash which is only 5-lines long would lose to a very boring long flash. Cause the boring handler put in more effort and the other guy only typed 5 lines.

If you provide a combination, eg. Roleplay + Plan, your chances of winning a match might be higher.

The QUANTITY FACTOR has always been a controversy. We don't care how many flashes you type for your match judgment. If they are boring hell, your opponent with one exciting flash that is around 30 lines long can beat you. So if you think you can win by sending us a `novel`, then save your efforts. We value `A+ essays`, not `D- novels`.

In order to win, should the roleplay involve talking trash about the superstar that will be your opponent? NO! The keywords here are "exciting", "has enough content", "fun to read", "good strategy". There is no rule saying that even though your roleplay is good, if your roleplay does not contain any statements about your opponent(s), you will lose... NO! Hell, you can even do a video-montage-style or biography-style roleplay to introduce your superstar further, tell about accomplishments, or even illustrate how your superstar trains. Your creativity is your limit. The only thing you need is to mention about your match in your roleplay. On the contrary, trash-talking sometimes evolve into quarrels that get old fast and degrade roleplay quality instead.

Superstars can suggest matches by challenging other superstars. If the other party accepts you've got yourself a match, unless the directors have other plans.

If you want a title, just challenge the champion. If the champ accepts, you've got your titleshot unless the directors disagree or have other plans.

In all cases of a challenge and acceptance, PLEASE confirm the match with the show writer.

One superstar usually fights in one match per show.

If you want to interfere in other wrestler's matches or beat someone up before the match, that kind of stuff, tell the director in charge of the show, usually the show commissioner.

Cards
Cards are TV shows or Brands with events and matchups.

We hold PPV's every month whenever possible.

The cards will be written by the writers (commissioners), usually the person in charge of the TV show. Matches are sometimes simulated but the endings are definitely written/decided by writers. Which means we don't let the brainless programs decide who wins. WE evaluate your efforts.

The cards will be sent out to everyone via email.
