It's Far From Over
The scene catches up backstage, where the cameras catch an only slightly winded Rex McAllister as he makes his way through following his victory over his former friend, now arch rival, Tommy Lipton. Rex is smiling from cheek to cheek as he practically struts along, and he's singing.

Rex McAllister:

We'll blow it away, blow it away.
Can we make this something good?
Well, I'll try to do it right this time around.
Let's start ov-

Rex is suddenly interrupted out of nowwhere by backstage JOURNALIST, Sarah Jackson. Rex, slightly annoyed, tries to ignore the persistent journalist by continuing on toward his locker.

Sarah Jackson: Rex, if I may. Can I just take a moment of your time?

Rex stops and turns toward Sarah, trying to hide his annoyance this time around under a halfhearted grin.

Rex McAllister: Timing's everything, Sarah. In your line of work, I'd expect someone like you to understand that.

Sarah looks to speak, but just then Rex raises his hand in anticipation right in the face of the journalist.

Rex McAllister: All you need to know, Sarah, all anyone under the sun needs to know, is that it's not over. It's not over by a long shot. So stay tuned!

Rex pauses a moment, smirks a little followed by a brief chuckle

Rex McAllister: Did you happen to see what I did out there? I embarrassed Tommy Lipton out there. I got a man, who spoke so confidently to me about being a powerhouse, about being at his absolute best. A man that stated under his own assertion that he was ready to sweep me right back to New Jersey, straight off the wrestling map.

Rex chuckles again

Rex McAllister: So I ask again, who is in whose head exactly, Sarah? I showed my fire out there tonight, like a fire breathing dragon I did, and when I torched Tommy with the flames he had absolutely no answer for, he wilted. I left him a broken mess tonight, that's what I did with him at supposedly his absolute determined best. I've got a little news flash for Lipton and the world.

It's not over until I SUCCEED!

Sarah just continues to hold the microphone to Rex's mouth as he goes on.

Rex McAllister: Start over...I'm not afraid to start over, but even if I had to, that's just a brand new opportunity to evolve and rebuild what I truly want! Do you really believe I would just go on hating myself if I didn't win tonight? Man, some people really must be blind. I'm a former champion, a former undefeated television champion who vacated the title to become a world champion. A two time tag team champion with this guy, Sarah, and you know what? I still stand by what I said before. I could've created that magic with any other legend, because the fact of the matter is, you have to be a complete and utterly blind ignorant jackass not to see the indisputable greatness that stands before you now, Sarah, just like Tommy if he truly believes he made us a one of kind tag team. So, I'm not going to stand here and believe it's over. If he wants that title shot, he's going to have to dig down real deep to find something in him that he's never found before. That's what it will take for him to make that pipe dream come true, because if that was his best?

Rex pauses glances at Sarah, and then at the camera with a questioning expression and shakes his head in disappointment.

Rex McAllister: Then this series will be over before you, him, and anyone else knows it.

Rex looks at Sarah with a grin, looks down and shakes his head once again.

Rex McAllister: We're through here.

Rex begins to walk off leaving Sarah to look on. Rex begins singing again as he does.

Rex McAllister:

It's not over.
Cause a part of me is dead and in the ground.

Rex hums the next part as the scene slowly fades.
