*Static crackles before transitioning to a shot of the terrace on the roof of the DoubleTree Hotel in El Paso, Texas.*

*It is nighttime, and the terrace is completely empty, save for one person sitting on one of the many couches. As the camera pans left, the person is revealed to be Syndicate, the Undisputed World Heavyweight Champion. He is wearing his blood-red leather jacket, gray undershirt, black denim jeans, and black Nike sneakers. In his right hand, he holds an Old Fashioned, and in his left, he holds the Undisputed World title, which rests on his left shoulder. Syndicate walks over to the edge of the terrace and, looking out over the city, smiles.*

Syndicate: Thank you for the kind words, Bob. It's a breath of fresh air, really, when compared to the way other people treat me.

*He glances at the camera.*

Syndicate: To quote the eccentric Dr. Evil, "We're not so different, you and I." We're both very much underestimated by our usual competition. We're treated like shit by the boys in the back. We're told we don't deserve our spots or our championships or anything else. To be honest, Bob, sometimes it feels like we just don't belong.

*A twinkle shines in his eye as he continues.*

Syndicate: But maybe that's because we're just that much better than everyone else. Maybe we're just on a whole other level and nobody else can come to terms with it. Me and you, Bob, we are at the top of this company, as we rightfully should be. We've dominated our divisions for quite a while now, and it seems like nobody can touch us. So I guess it works out that, just now, we are coming face-to-face for the first time.

*The champ takes a sip from his drink.*

Syndicate: This is a battle to see who is truly the best in the business, Bob. Nothing more. When I say I want to "kill" the legend of Bob Mellon, it means that I want to beat you. I want to show you that, although you are a strong competitor for sure, you are not the best anymore. I am. I am the legend of today AND tomorrow. I plan on being here a long, long time, and if I want to continue the AGE of Syndicate...I need to defeat you, Bob. I need to keep you right where you are right now - better than most, but not better than me. This isn't personal, Bob; like I said yesterday, I have no problem with you as a person. You're just in my way, and that means that you're the next one that needs to fall.

Syndicate: My resume speaks for itself. A nearly undefeated 2017. A five-time World Champion. A World Series winner. An uncanny ability to pull extra energy out of nowhere and take down my opponents with it. And, most importantly, a work ethic that is UNMATCHED by anyone in this company. Regardless of how I feel about you, Bob, I won't stop grinding, I won't stop fighting until that bell rings. That's why I'm your World Champion, Bob. That's why I am the LEGEND of today and the FACE of the WWX. And if you don't believe that, well, I guess I'll just have to prove it to you.

*He chuckles as he takes another sip, once again looking out over El Paso.*

Syndicate: You say you don't belong in the same category as Xander Adams, Tommy Lipton, and the rest. You're your own thing, you're the "biggest challenge" I've faced in this company. Well, I wouldn't go that far. Winning World Series - that's a challenge. Winning the House of Horrors match at Hall of Pain - that took a lot of effort. But one-on-one against you...it'll be tough, but it won't be the toughest thing I've ever had to do. Not only that, but let's go back to your assessment that Xander Adams, of all people, is out of your league. Xander had YEARS of sustained success, Bob. He's won championship after championship, straight-up burying people along the way. He was a FORCE in the WWX. Meanwhile, you were World Champion in the IWA for three months aaaaaaaaand then disappeared until now.

Syndicate: I'm not discounting your ability, as you can clearly tough it out with the best of 'em. I'm not saying that our match on Ravage won't be a classic, because it clearly will be. But I've faced off against worse and come out victorious. Regardless of if you think it's possible, I've KILLED legends and I've ENDED careers. I am, quite simply, the most dangerous man in the WWX today...and I will have no reservations towards taking you out, once and for all. And even if you survive, even if - or when - we face off again, I'll steal the show with you AGAIN, and I'll be the one getting my arm raised AGAIN. It all starts this week, when the FACE of this company, the World Champion, the OUTLAW...walks out of El Paso with the W. Welcome...to the Syndicate.

*Syndicate raises his glass to the camera and walks off as the feed descends into static.*
